Play N Trade’s Grueling “Call for Duty” Tournament Pays Off Big for Ruthless Gamers
Hundreds of the Country’s best video game players competed this past weekend in Play N Trade’s “Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare” Regional and National Tournaments
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 10, 2008 – Play N Trade Franchise, Inc., one of the fastest-growing franchises worldwide, today announced that after local rounds were completed on May 31st, winners advanced to the regional rounds on June 7th:
On June 8th the regional winners advanced to the national tournament which was held at the regional winner’s local Play N Trade store.
“Call of Duty 4” offered a large array of weaponry to the hard core players during the final rounds. The winners paid $10 each to enter. Then they had to play and win multiple matches to secure their top spots in this hard nosed competition.
The 1st place team, SOTB, from West Providence, Rhode Island included:
Joe Cordero, Lance Patterson, Aaron Andrews and John Samplaski, (pictured from left to right)
Team SOTB received a $2000 in store credit.
The 2nd place team, Team N/R, from Weston FL included:
Keith Fischer, Mike Wetcher, James Kiley, Richard Hughes
Team N/R received a $500 in store credit
The 3rd place team, Team Alexandria, from Alexandria, VA included:
Chris Schmidt, Brett Robinson, Ryan Stearns
Team Alexandria received a $250 in store credit.
Team SOTB, the 1st place team said “We are going to buy an Xbox Elite with our credit”.
